LAMMA 2022: Helping farmers optimise solar PV at UK’s biggest event

We are gearing up for one of our favourite shows of the year – LAMMA at the NEC in Birmingham.

After a disruption for Covid, it is set to attract about 40,000 visitors when it returns on 5th May for its 40th anniversary.

Our HIT Energy Guard scooped online innovation at LAMMA in 2020, with the event allowing us to showcase how our products are making a difference in the solar industry.

“It really is one of the UK’s biggest shows for agricultural technology and equipment,” said Simon Hopkins of HIT Energy Services.

“As well as meeting existing friends and customers, it allows us to spread the word to as many farmers, land owners and businesses as possible, and chat about how our services can help them.”

The show brings together about 700 exhibitors in total, showcasing everything from tractors to tools and renewables technology.

Because of the current energy crisis, we will be discussing how Solar PV owners can export the energy they don’t use, and get far more than they did in the past from the National Grid.

More than 150 of our customers have already signed up for our scheme to make the most of it through our link-up with F&S Energy.

This is the latest service we offer to make solar a green, reliable, profitable form of energy.

We also offer free health checks to get systems operating at full power and a review of export rates to the national grid.

Through our HIT Energy Guard, we are then able to monitor performance 24/7, meaning if it ever drops again, even for a short time, we can fix it – this has saved some owners hundreds or even thousands of pounds a month.

Simon added: “We believe we have developed a range of services to help any agricultural firm or farmer make the most out of their Solar PV.

“Other things we offer include repowering sites to get them generating at full capacity again and our HIT Energy Power Purchase – where we build a Solar PV system at no capital cost.”
