For an existing PV owner, that’s where we start.

If the system is underperforming, we can investigate why. It may simply need repairing, or an ageing installation may benefit from repowering. Where existing inverters and infrastructure are still suitable, we can retain them. Modern, higher-efficiency modules may also free up existing framework, creating an opportunity for additional PV and battery storage.

If the existing solar is performing exactly as it should, we leave it alone and install our monitoring system. Instead, we can look at surplus electricity being exported and whether battery storage could capture it for use later.

But HIT Energy Guard doesn’t stop monitoring once the battery arrives.

We’re now using AI to analyse more than a decade of historic half-hourly solar and weather data alongside live generation, site demand, electricity tariffs and weather forecasts. This gives HIT Energy Guard the intelligence needed to manage battery storage and send commands determining when batteries should charge from solar, lower-cost grid electricity, or both.
