HIT Energy Services could be ranked among the top 50 green companies in the U.K. that are fighting to protect the environment.
The inaugural EnviroTech 50 innovation ranking process has started, and we are one of 93 companies shortlisted.
All are headquartered in the UK and are creating original tech for green energy, to protect the environment and boost sustainability.
“It was amazing to hear we had been shortlisted,” said Simon Hopkins of HIT Energy Services.
“Obviously there was great excitement but also a sense of great pride that our company from Lincolnshire has been recognised on a national level.
“It shows the efforts of the team keeping the U.K. solar powered is catching the attention of those that believe in a greener, more sustainable future.”
The EnviroTech50 rankings are being compiled by readers of Business Cloud, with voting opening on Monday 6 June.
It will last for seven days and judges will then give their input before the final 50 are announced on Monday 4 July.
Simon added: “For the past decade, we have been trying to play our small part in helping people, businesses and organisations live greener lives.
“We are passionate about what we do and just want others to share our enthusiasm for solar and renewables.
“Just being shortlisted for this prestigious list shows our ambitious, young company is heading in the right direction. But we are confident and hopeful of making the top 50.”

It is an exciting time for HIT Energy Services after we teamed up with Boston Renewables, in a move that will help thousands of people make the most out of solar.
We have also started offering licences to like-minded electrical contractors to help us spread our reach across the country.
This means contractors will be able to access our award-winning platform.
“As a licence holder, electrical contractors will be able to work with us to help us keep up with increasing demand,” Simon said.
“There is currently huge demand in the solar market for our products – so we want to find experienced electrical contractors who understand the importance of marketing and have a strong customer services ethos.
“As part of the licence package, we will give them a designated area of the U.K. to operate in exclusively. We believe it really is an exciting time to come on board with us.”
Services we offer include our free health checks of Solar PV systems.
When our engineers carry this out, we can give a valuation of export tariffs, and how much the system owner could generate from excess energy.
Through our HIT Energy Guard, we can also monitor performance 24/7, meaning if it ever drops again, even for a short time, we can fix it – this has saved some owners hundreds or even thousands of pounds a month.
Our work has been recognised with a string of accolades – at Lamma 2020, we scooped the online innovation award, while we also beat hundreds of other products to be ranked seventh in the Midlands Tech 50 list
