A Year on from COVID
There has been a sense of life being on hold for many people over the past year, with lockdowns during the battle with coronavirus.
An example of this was the 2020 Lincolnshire Business Awards – which actually took place in March 2021.
It was worth the wait though, as we won the innovation and sustainability categories – albeit, in a virtual ceremony in our living rooms, rather than the usual black tie event. We are so proud to recieve this award for the second year running it really makes all the effort and hard work worthwhile.

Meet the Team - New Additions in 2021

Debbie Parker
Business Development Manager
Debbie joined us at the start of the year as Business Development Manager. Debbie comes from a motor trade background working as Regional Manager for a leading commercial rental business before becoming part of the team and is helping us to develop our services in Worcestershire and Bury St Edmunds, as well looking after our already established customers around the rest of the UK.
“Coming out of a very odd first quarter I am feeling really positive & excited about my role within the team, the future is definitely bright and hopefully sunny and I’m really enjoying looking after our customers PV needs from their initial enquiry all the way through to install and remedial works”

James McKinnon
Electrical Apprentice
James joined us at the end of February as an Electrical Apprentice, he is currently in his apprenticeship 4th year and is proving a valuable member of the team, taking on all aspects of the business with great enthusiasm.
“Having previously worked for a domestic electrical company I am enjoying being out on site looking after Solar PV for our amazing customers. It’s so good working in a totally different field of electrics for my final year as an apprentice and it’s made me realise that being part of the renewable industry is the future and hopefully I will get to meet you all at some point”
Low Carbon Agriculture Online Show 2021

A very different experience for us on the 9th & 10th March, taking part in our first virtual show! Although not as enjoyable as previous shows where we have the opportunity to meet, chat and get to know new and existing customers we did manage to hook up with alot of new customers and assist them with their PV requirements. Although the team at Low Carbon Agriculture did a great job putting the show together, no mean feat I imagine we are very much looking forward to getting out and meeting you all again at our next show Cereals at Boothby Graffoe on 30th June and 1st July.
Increase our Solar Reach

While many things were locked down, we continued to expand, and are now keeping the country solar-powered from a number of new sites.
As well as our head office in Lincoln, we now have a base at the city’s university, where we monitor £16.5m of solar assets around the U.K. and Ireland – which create enough energy to power 3,500 homes.
At the end of last year, we also opened a base at the Active Business Centre in Bury St Edmunds, which will help us monitor Solar PV systems in Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk.
A third office in Warwickshire will help us reach more and more farmers, landowners and businesses around the U.K.
Free Health Checks & Customer Referral Incentive this Summer

We are continuing to offer free health checks to owners of any Solar PV site in the U.K. and Ireland.
We can identify issues such as age, the British weather or rodent damage all of which could be costing you hundreds or thousands of pounds a month. Along with our round-the-clock monitoring through our HIT Energy Guard we can ensure you never lose money again.
